Our Fern Room is a vibrant and engaging learning environment where older tamariki are encouraged to build confidence, independence, and strong connections with others. Through child-led learning and meaningful experiences, children are supported to follow their interests, develop working theories, and strengthen their social, emotional, literacy, and numeracy skills.
Drawing on Montessori-inspired practices, we provide opportunities for tamariki to take increasing responsibility for themselves and their environment through purposeful activities and real-life learning experiences. We value creating a space where children feel empowered to problem-solve, make choices, and grow as capable and confident learners as they prepare for their transition to school.
